MOT fail-sadsad day

Car failed on the following.

Headlight aim beam image obviously incorrect offside.
Front position lamp(S) not working nearside (what does this mean exactly)
Registration plate faded front

So above not too bad...no

Brake pipes excessively corroded nearside from, offside front, nearside rear, offside rear.

This have no idea what will cost or if a good brush up will solve it..

Front CV joint insecure to the extent that it no longer prevents the ingress of dirt etc offside front inner...may just need new clip...hmmm these were done a few years back...must be some sort of problem recurring home..

MacPherson strut has excessive movement at the upper attachment nearside front and offside front.

So that is it...

So How much will this all cost to sort out?

Advisories were rust on all suspension parts and engine oil water leaks..

It passed emissions and the ABS light stayed off..


Oh Mr Blasberg...check your cubbyholes in you estate behind the back lights...I found a pool of water in a plastic tray... I dried that up and fired out the spare wheel area...one of the electrical leads was immersed in weather...now the ABS works alright...might be of some help if you still have your B4..

So the moral is don't let your car sit for a year ...
