1992 Passat B3 1.8L estate - power steering

For the last 11 months I have been using my Passat B3 without power steering. I use it to travel 3 miles to work and 3 miles back. Enough. Can anyone tell me what sort of power steering pump I need and is it the same as any other VW? thanks
