My Passat has a bit of a problem when standing idle for a few days. The battery goes flat completely.
I have a new battery fitted. I checked the current drain from the battery when it is stationary and idle and measures a little over 500mA.
This seems too high to my mind. Does anyone know what should be expected when the car is simply parked overnight. I'm thinking I may have a dodgy door-lock but have not fully investigated yet.
Any mechanics who might know the quiescent current drain I'd love to hear from. Or from anyone who may have had this problem also.
