outside temp senor

hi all.

so heres my problem. i have a 1999 passat 4motion 2.5 v6 tdi, and the ac was reading -50. so ive changed out the outside temp senor for a new one. but it is still reading the error code 030b on the control panel. ive cleared the error reading. but still no luck. is there something that im missing or should i be looking for something else?
