B3 Estate 1.8L Petrol

Morning all,

My mother is in possession of a 1991 Blue Passat estate which for the last few years has been sat covered over on the drive for the most part. It runs, is MOT'd etc etc and all it really needs is a bit of TLC to look half decent for what it is.

My question is: Is it worth spending a little money on it to sell?
She is proposing to scrap it but I thought I'd see if there's a better alternative for this old faithful car.
