the gearbox on my '05 plate octavia wagon decided to explode and was uneconomical to repair, so it went to the scrap man...i was never really a skoda person anyway! 
luckily a friend my wife's father was persuaded to let go of this super clean b4 wagon!
had a passat b5 20vt before so not new to passats...
