My 1.8 b3 has always bit a bit jumpy on start up from cold. I'm sure it's getting worse at the moment when it's been so cold everytime I start it for so long now. I pull away and if not not as gentle as possible it jumps like a learner driver. Once warm it seems fine, but sometimes I think it jumps a bit if I'm not really carefull about taking my foot of the gas.
I've read this viewtopic.php?f=7&t=60884&p=491248&hilit=fuel#p491248 and am thinking it's to do with the cold start valve. Once it's warm it usually starts fine, but sometimes takes a few turns.
Also I've recently seen that it's not doing the MPG it should. Apart from when I've mentioned above, everything seems to be normal. It's due an oil change in about 500 miles. So I was wondering if the two are linked?
Any ideas would be good
