It turns out it was very bad indeed. Every hole down the sill corresponds to where VW put the stud to hold on the GT side skirts. I really liked by Passat but it looks like this will be the end of the road for this GT. I would love to save her but it will take a lot of money to put her right, sad times.
Could anyone estimate a cost to fit 2 new sills and 2 new rear arches?
