Induction kit v aftermarket panel filter 1z tdi

Just wondered what people's thoughts on induction kit v uprated panel filter,in a b4 1z tdi,just cleaned the poo out the inlet and deleted egr(much better:-).I've a piper cross panel in at mo,is it wise to fit a induction kit(which one?)or stick with panel will it supply enough air?,as I've been told it might be best to fit a good inducion kit,to be fair its noisy now with panel in definatly pullin alot more air in,its also going in for a remap at rtech,would appreciate advice,cheers.
