B4 1.8 SPI - Best mpg figures?

Hi all

I recently acquired a 1.8 8v (single point injection) B3 estate. i think it is the ABS code engine.

I have read that they are good for circa 30mpg on the urban commute and 35 - 40mpg on the motorway, which seems reasonable.

Does anyone have any real world experience with this engine / car? I will be doing a lot of road trips this year where i intend to be doing a lot of 60 - 65mph motorway cruises. Would i be too optomistic to expect 40 mpg+?!

Ill put some pictures / details up at some point, just trying to get some work done for the MOT at the moment!
