Where can i get power?

Hello everyone i have a 1989 b3 estate wagon it currently has 1.8 petrol engine what options of engines do i have to put in for power i know they came with a vr6 but was else it there that will go in and who has done these transplants will a mk3 golf vr6 engine fit in aswell?
