This has beeng getting worse over the last few weeks- initially i thought it was something loose inside the car but ive eliminated that. basically what happens is a tapping/rattling noise from under the car when i go over bumps or press the brake pedal at slow speeds (gives one "donk" as i first press the pedal). I drove around work car park this morning over the speed bumps and discovered that it seems to stop if i feather the brakes with my left foot. Driving with the wondow open it seems to be coming from the rear of that car.
Its had all new exhaust rubbers, and i adjusted the brake compensator and took out the slack in the spring so pretty sure its not that. Its a metallic rattle thats in time with bumps in the road.
Any ideas what it could be? its driving me round the bend
