Hi - just got a B3 estate and want to lower it, but wanted to get your ideas on the best route? springs or cheap coil overs?
I don't have lots of cash to splash and want it low but usable as will sometimes need to haul some equipment and people about as I play in a a band. Worried about lowering it and finding it bottoms out with any weight in it. Told Cheap coilovers will just seize and be pointless after a few months but they were trying to sell me loads more expensive ones!
I Know you can get the Hot Tuning kits for around £200 but is it false economy? Would I be better just getting some springs and maybe just stick some Caravan bump things that go between the coils to help it?
Anyone already done this or have any ideas?
Thanks!
Rob
p.s
Will be looking to get some wheels as well - liking The Lenso BSX bbs style either 15 or 16/7 and I think et35. Sound like they will fit ok?
lowered but still practical? coilover or springs?
