pd 130

Post by bobfish45 » Wed Nov 02, 2016 6:18 pm

One of the chaps on the forum, Gazwould, speaks of his 175bhp clutch friendly remap, and it interests me greatly. My pd 130 has 115k miles and the clutch isn't slipping, but I would like a little more under the right foot, could your remap benefit me? cheers, Rod.

Apologies for the slow reply.

If you would like to increase the bhp and torque output and improve the driveability of your car then of course the remap will benefit you :esm
Of course, I can't say for certain that your clutch wont slip after the remap, because I do not know the current condition it is in, but I can say that it's very rare that the 'clutch saving' remap causes any such issues.
The remap produces about 375Nm and 175bhp.
The cost is £199.

Simon.

Hi Simon,

I had your map on my car for a year now and only just managed to do a dyno on it, however last month I have changed my camshafts and tappets and wondering whether that will affect the map? Will I need a new map? The current dyno says the car produces 156bhp and 350Nm, should it be 175bhp and 374Nm?, see below:

175 bhp and 375Nm ( 275 ftlb ) is correct , results will vary slightly but 157 bhp and 258 ftlb is on the low side .

That torque curve doesn't look clutch friendly at all. Torque spike looks quite aggressive between 2200 and 2400 rpm, and decreases a lot after it.

At least it is linear for 200rpm , lol .

I've seen worse...

Engine: 1.9TDi PD 130 Engine Code(s): AVF, AWX, ASZ, BLT

Stock Power: 130bhp Darkside Remap: 165-175bhp

Horse power is amazing as it's making 150+ from sub 2500 rpm .

But the torque and it's 340 ftlb spike :-o

Simon came and did the clutch friendly re-map for me after I looked at Gazwoulds recommendation. For me it is a far better map than I have had before, that includes companies like Awesome gti. It doesn't die after 2500rpm but keeps on with useful torque upto 4000 rpm on my AVF. My clutch is still sound after 12 months of the remap and I couldn't have more praise for a map than this one, and I've had a few!!!
