need help to value mk2 passat

i have a friend who due to some small minded morons has had his d reg mk2 passat sallon burnt out, hes now in a battle with his insurance who have offer him the princely sum of £150 for the car hes trying to prove the value of the car but the problem is they wont up there offer unless they can see other cars for sale
question is when was the last time you seen a b2 saloon up for sale ???
does anyone have any ideas on how he can prove a value of the car or does anyone know of any b2,s for sale in the uk so we can send in the adverts
the car had 89000 miles and 2 owners and 10 months mot so it was far from a rot box
any help would be greatful as hes pulling what little hair he has left out
