yet another new B2 owner!!

just yesterday I joined the growing ranks of B2 owners. I picked up a LHD ex-Germany Variant in metallic Siena Red. It's fitted with the 1.3 litre "small block" engine more often seen in the Polo mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox.

The plan is to perform a RHD conversion, 1Z 1.9TDI engine from a B4 mated to a 5-speed box from a B5 Passat. Upgrade the brakes to B4 stuff if it fits and run 15" wheels with bigger/better tyres. It's destined to be pressed into service as a daily driver so it won't be getting slammed.

Has anyone got a set of estate roof rails for sale?

Was there ever a dog-guard available as an option? Any idea where I'd get a B2 dog-guard for behind the rear seat??
