My plan (after falling in love with double din units) is to fit a double din unit in the dash.
The ideal plan would be to relocate the heater controls either lower down in the dash, or into a centre console (maybe Mk2 Jetta or Mk2 Golf) and use the exsisting slot for the stereo and heater controls to fit it into.
Just wondered if anyone else had attempted this and had any advice and/or pictures or anyone who had fitted a centre consol from something of the 80's VAG era and had any helpful pointers.
