i bought my 2ltr petrol passat from a friend who had stored it in a garage for 4 years. pulled it out pumped up the tyres and i though the fuel would need replacing but she fired up first crank (with a jump start) sailed through an mot so i had a gas conversion done about 8 months ago. 25k miles later without missing a beat she point blank wont start!
thought it was no fuel or something to do with the gas conversion as she ran fine upto the point of switching off, she always starts on petrol then switches over automatic, but i pulled out a plug and no spark, fuel mist blows from the spark plug hole.
the 3 pin ignition coil shows resistance between the pins on the coil, 12v is present but i dont know if the 3 pin hall sensor on the dizzy is ok as it seems to be open circuit except for a 1meg ohm pair but it is a transistor i think.
any ideas people?
