A4 (AWX) PD130 into B2 Passat - Anyone done it/got info?

Hi there,
Forgive my ignorance if this has been asked a million times but I happen to have a longitudinal PD130 from an Audi A4 sat in my workshop (with all the bits). I have just been offered a B2 passat estate cheap, good body but the engine is sh*gged... can you see where I'm going with this?
I know the PD from A3's/Golfs etc is becoming an increasing popular conversion for old skool cars with transversely positioned engines such as the MK1/MK2 Golfs etc but am I right in thinking that the B2 passat engine is positioned longitudinaly & therefore the pd from the A4 would suit???
As stated, first up has anyone done it already? Or does anyone have any info about the conversion? cheers
