B1 or B2 Estate advice n parts needed

Hi guys,

Ok i'm new the mk1 passat. Just bought my first moving away from my mk1 jetta,

ok B1 or B2 i dont know so please let me no - 1982 X reg 1.6cl Estate (glad to say i am only the second owner of it)
if best to look at pics to let me no - item number on ebay was 330406810043
Looking for some advice and parts.

- Exhaust is blowing slightly, is it best to find like for like part or do other mk1 exhausts ie golfs swop across?
- Looking to lower it around 40mm what the best way to do it? does a mk1 golf suspension fit on the rear? and what fits the front?
- I'm looking for a new tailgate with less rust on than what mines got, alot of pealing paint and rust around the window and bottom new handle, so is anyone selling one.
- I'm wanting to keep this looking kinda retro ish n thinking about wheels has anyone done one with ATS cups or something similar n got some pics?
- Engine seems solid (110k) but when it slows down from say 40 to stop at lights the engine cuts out. is this just the case it needs a dam good service? When i turn it back on it stays on idle fine just cuts when slowing down.

any advice is good Cheers
