Hi fellow passat owners i'm hoping some one with a little more experience than me can shed some light.
Because my familly is expanding the other half has insisted that i get a sensible estate car. being a die hard aircooled vw nut i knew this was gonna cause some trouble. Luckily we have reached a compromise and i'm the proud owner of a b2 passat estate, in 'grandfather beige'
The only problem i have with this low milage 1 owner car is the tick over is a touch lumpy. Some one suggested it is more than likely to be the pierburg carb, as these were fine when they were working but a load of guff after a while and more hassle than they were worth.
If this was an aircooled i'd have it fixed it no time but i'm a bit out of my league with a 'grown up' car. Is there any one that repairs these carbs or am i stuck with this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and i need to sort the suspension. Less altitude, more attitude,
