Just got home after a mission to pick up this beast!
It needs a bit of work (first job, sort the appalling ride!) but it looks pretty great! I love these old things!
I'm a total noob when it comes to Passats, the closest thing I've had before is an Audi Cabrio with the 2.3 5-cylinder engine. This one is a 2.0 5-cylinder 'Topic' as opposed to a GL5.
I've got a few plans but I mainly just want to tidy it up. I'd quite like a towbar for it. Can anyone give me any advice about that? I might be using it to tow a car trailer (only a small one with a polo on it mind). I'm hoping these just have bolt on type approved jobs but I'm guessing not with it being such an old model?
