B5.5 Highline 130tdi

Ive been a bit of a 'silent' member on here for a while. Thought it best to start a build thread as ive decided to begin making some additions to my passat
I bought my passat last year after a run of other veedubs. I'd started with a mk3 vr6 and then bought a mk2 gti, I decided that i'd restore it and move it on with the plan to buy something else and do the same, with the proceeds going towards a b5.5 tdi estate. I bought the works transporter and painted/tidied it up before then moving that on.

Once that had been moved on, the hunt was on for a highline. I found a sub 100k 04 model locally and snapped it up with a full vw history to go with it.

You might be able to make out the for sale sign in the background. We bought a new house not long after getting the passat and stretched ourselves a fair bit financially to do it. Not a month had gone by when the conrod decided to make its way out of the engine block
.
New engine time! Got our local vw specialist to source a replacement low mileage engine and fit that long with new flywheel and clutch. We had to hold off on spending any cash on the house for a while!
Over that now, and onwards with putting my mark on the passat. Its awaiting a new egr pipe as its split and has just had a new down pipe put on as the old one was split at the flexi pipe.
Ill get some bit's on it soon but for now its pretty much a standard motor bar my private plate
