I joined because I own a 2007 VW Passat Diesel Estate (B6 ?) and would welcome a hint or guidance with the following !
My second Passat key Fob fails to open or lock the doors after replacing the battery...so I wanted to re synchronize it
Well I took off the caps at the rear of the door Handles and....instead of a key barrel I was faced with blank plates ...where does the spare key fit in please ?? 
and once I have located the place to insert the spare key ...what is the Correct method of re-synchronizing the fob please
