Will B5.5 alloys fit on a B5?

Hey all!
I just got my hands on my first VW, a Passat B5 2000, but no alloys.
My uncle knows someone who is selling alloys from a Passat B5.5, but will they fit my B5?
I have so many other basic questions about this car! Like what is the right coolant to use?
A close friend of mine always had VW's and a couple of Passats, but he was in a traffic accident a couple of years ago and now can't talk. He can't help me now so I'm here instead.
