Just signed up (again) I think.
I have a 2006 SEL Estate with the BWA engine, a rare combination.
I have owned it for four years and it has been well behaved. I do spend time and money on it as I really like the car and want to keep it as long as possible. I do a lot of work myself when the weather allows (back yard mechanic). Recently I have done track rod ends, new front strut and spring, rear wishbones with new outer bushes and new eccentric bolts, rear springs. (what a job).
It has not been fault free but compared to some of the things I read about it looks like I bought a good one.
