Hi, I've recently bought my 1st Veedub after driving 30 years. I was a real Saab aficionado until they went into receivership. I've owned 6 Saab's, the best being a 99 9-5 2.0lpt. It was far from standard with a Maptun stage 2 ecu, Brembo brakes, Eibach Pro suspension and Goodridge brake lines all round. It was a real sleeper and surprised many capable cars. I then went French with a Renault Vel Satis initially and then onto all 3 variants of Citroen C5. The last one an 09 2.0hdi Exclusive was a lovely car and I'll sorely miss it. The reason I'm now driving a B6 Passat is I've wrecked my left knee and can no longer drive a clutch. Step in the Passat 2.0tdi DSG which I must say is an excellent drive. Sharp looking and comfy it's a match for the C5 in every department except the ride quality but any car struggles ride wise compared to Citroen's Hydractive suspension.

My name by the way is a standing joke with a mechanic friend of mine who specialises in French motors. Anytime anything German comes into his garage its referred to as "German poo" because he thinks they are over engineered and too time consuming to work on. :-?
