Hello from Chico in Plymouth

Hi peoples, picking up my 99 1.9 SE TDi this week, so not officialy an owner yet but can't wait to drive. Few questions
1 - On a tight budget and wondering what mods would I be able to do? (And never really done anything like this before).
2 - Is there anyone in my area that would be willing to look at the car and give me advice?
3 - Or can someone give me any usefull tips etc?
