A cautionary tale

Post by johnDUB »

The nice lady who delivers for home deliveries is a Passat fan.
But, she's been dumped on from on-high by her insurance company's choice of repair centre.

She found her 5 year old saloon had an indoor paddling pool, so she contacted her insurance company. A fone on wheels..

They collected it, took it to someone wakefield way, then attacked every plastic panel with a prybar. She took delivery saturday, to find more screw driver marks than a little on the trim. The dash moves when she adjusts her steering wheel up. Loose screws under seats, and now.. It doesn't start. The remote fob doesn't operate full stop. When she unlocks with the key, 3 doors open. Windows are berserk, lights intermitant. Boot doesn't work full stop. I commented on the CCM module under the carpet.

Anyways.. she rang the fone on wheels company and demanded it go to VW, they replied by it needed to back to 'this' company..
So, to say the least she's gutted..

Soon as she gets it back, she's taking it to VW to get it on VAGcom, and she's taking pics of all the damaged panels inside and she's suing the bum of them.

Not bad to say it only wanted a carpet, and it all worked before it went in!

It seem's the deals you get with cheap insurance aren't worth the paper they are wrote on, and a good investment is a good wedge in the bank and pay for it your self.
