Car of the Month June 2013 - 88rsr

Post by water01 » Mon Jul 01, 2013 8:19 am

After another very close contest with Damilo, the winner this month is ..........

Congratulations
88rsr your car has been voted COTM for June 2013.

Thanks to everyone who voted, but I have to say 30 Votes in total out of 23,000+ members is a poor turnout!!

Really chuffed as to start with Homerdog had to tell me it was even up for vote cos I hadn't looked, then I've only just found out about half an hour ago it even won

If it helps heres a bit of a before and after.

The day I got it
Image
Image

And how it stands currently
Image
Image

Mods List (even the trivial stuff)
19" VW Touareg wheels on 20mm FK adapters at the rear and 18mm H&R adapters at the front (they were on 15mm FK at the front until I stripped the thread out of one hole  )
Hottuning coilovers (see its not all mega budget lmao)
BV43 turbo
Mapping done by Karl/Desertstorm
Darkside Developments EGR delete
Glowshift boost gauge (decent colour match but probably look at getting a newsouth one soon for better quality)
Audi RS6 Recaro seats with doorcards trimmed to match (done by previous owner of seats)
Colour coded lower plastics
HID's
LED front sidelights
Silver indicator bulbs
LED side repeater bulbs
LED number plate lights
Double Din head unit
Cheap halfords sub+amp
White LED alarm warning indicator (the one thats normally red by the drivers door lock pin)
312mm brake upgrade
Silver painted calipers
De-badged grille (taken it back off to be fair)
Rear badge insert colour coded
Team Heko wind deflectors
Audi A4 3.0TDI clutch (do not try this, it was a massive pain to do)
Electric rear sunblind

Think thats about it, so yeah... lots of trivial and barely noticable stuff with a few major aesthetic mods :-bd
still more plans but all in good time, and maybe even longer than that :hyst

This was the first Passat that caught my eye when I joined UKP. It brought memories flooding back. My mum had one the same but not modified of course & was a proper nice machine... well worth the vote :-bd

Came from an RS6 along with the seats mate. In all honesty though its not quite finished and I have butchered it a bit   . But it wont take much when I get back round to putting a bit of time into it.
