Hi everyone Thanks for the votes. The car is a VW B5 Passat 1.8t sport manual. Originally the car was just a run about that was bought within a day of seeing it on ebay. I only bought it because my Mk2 Golf failed its MOT spectacularly and I needed a car. So I bought it the day after the Mk2 failed.

Originally I wasn’t going to do anything to it and just keep it boring and high. I really don’t even know why I thought that. I mean just look at it!

Image

While I inevitably caught the bug in 2009 I was unsure where I wanted to go with it. I did buy a 19 inch space save with the intention of buying 3 more and getting them banded but then I saw the light and bought the Bentleys and some coilovers to go with them

Image

And then the interior mods started. Started out with the carbon vinyl wrapped bits of trim because it was looking tatty and then I caught the bug. Headlining was changed to the blue tartan. I was still a child so don’t judge me. Lol.

But then the car was taken off the road due to going away to uni for my final year so nothing much was done. But obviously while I was away from it I kept getting ideas of what I could be doing and near the end of uni I bought the RS and the cream leather seats ready to be re coloured in tan. The headlining was redone in black suede after that was done.

Then immediately after finishing that I got bored with my Bentleys. I thought they looked too big and the car looked too high and I wasn’t scraping on the floor enough. So the land rover wheels were purchased. Couldn’t decide on which set I liked the most so I bought both because they were so cheap! Bentleys then sold so I could buy tyres and adaptors for the new wheels after giving them a good wet sand and polish.

Image

My latest addition is the US side markers that look really good in my opinion. And that’s where we are today.

There is still a lot that I think needs doing to tidy it up. Maybe my car of the month prise could be a respray? :D
