Finally got round to fitting my upgraded speakers in the Pashat. Went for a set of JBL Stage 600CE 6.5" 2 way component speakers. Picked them up for only £50 posted off eBay.

Whilst I had the doors stripped (due to needing to replace the electric window regulator at the same time) I thought I'd add some Silent Coat sound deadening to the inner door skin and a little to the metal window hanger panel too.

You need to add the speaker adapters to enable fitment of the larger 6.5 inch speakers, loads on eBay. Remember to run sealant around the base where they fit up against the metal panel.

The JVC kit comes with everything you need, you just need 4 screws per adapter to attach to the door panel.

Tweeters are included and wiring to connect, plus sticky sealant to help mount the tweeter if needed. I found this was needed as I chose to mount the tweeter in the original position. The pictures show the process.

All in all an easy and cheap job, definitely improves the sound along with the sound deadening. I have also done the same with the rears (except I didn't replace the original tweeters) Happy Days.
