After doing the W8 interior light conversion on my Golf mk4 1.8T, i decided that i would do the conversion on my passat, as it's my daily driver, so is a nice little touch at night when it illuminates the cabin.

Here is the list of parts requires to make the loom, so it's just plug and play, and a quick description on how to make the loom.



W8 interior light loom parts required:

repair wire x 2 part no 000 979 131 = £1.71 each
female plug for golf loom x 1 part no 893 971 993 = £0.69
repair wire x 2 part no 000 979 103 = £1.30 each
male w8 light plug x 1 part no 3B0 972 706 = £2.54



when making the W8 loom, here is how you connect the wires on the new adaptor plugs

look at each plug and the numbers that correspond to the wire slots.

New male w8 plug end*****************new golf female plug

Early model W8 Interior light with Sunroof

The early type has a dot for the tilt section on the sunroof swith.

- 3B7 947 106 A Y20 : beige = £56.59



Late model comfort set W8 interior light with sunroof

The late type has a line for the tilt section on the sunroof switch
