fitting cupra r splitter on b5.5

Post by gower86 »

best of wot i remember
1, remove lower part of the bumper , by the screws underneth and the wheel arches ...
2, Then there is plastic lugs holding it in place witch can be hard the seperate jus work at it and ul work it out , be carful but forceful lol
3, Take the bumper over to a bench where u can lay it flat upside down , clamp it if you can makes it easyer wen measuring etc
4, offer up the cupra splitter , it will seem that its too big and wrong shape , but trust it will fit , and the middle will need trimmin to size
5, measure the middle etc and get it lookin even both sides and how far forward u want it
6, Then while holding it firmly in place drill pilot hole through , ul see on the splitter wheres a good place to drill its about every 5 inch more the beta ,
7, use self tappers to secure the splitter checkin as u do so
8, if ur happy then trim off the excess splitter ends as it will be long

sorry the pics aint to good , hopfully ul get the idea , dont realy see them much on b5.5 so thought ad try and it can be done .................
