key remote synchronisation not for new key fobs

this is in the owners manual supliment for b5 and in the owners manual for b5.5
but for those who don't have either heres what to do ?

all this has to be done under 1 minute
1- press either the open or close botton on the radio wave key once for approx one second.
the vehicle will remain locked.
the control unit has however reconises a valid code.

2- now lock or unlock your vehicle using the key (in the lock).

3- the key bite is recognised as a valid mechanical code. a new code is defined between the key and the control unit.
the synchronisation is complete.
