Ditched the chinese fake head unit,WOW.

For over five years I have had a Veyron head unit in the Passat.
Looks just the same as a genuine VW one but the radio has always been terrible, the sat-nav was very hit and miss, it had a DVD player but only used it once properly in over five years. Bluetooth was OK.
Finally changed it for a genuine VW one, what a difference
,tried a CD (old fashioned I know) but amazing improvement in sound and the radio! just brilliant, every station instantly and clear as a bell.
Had a panic attack at first when I swapped it over, the plugs were different, then I realised I was looking at a huge bunch of wires that was the loom from the genuine to the fake. It was worth the swap just to get rid of the huge bunch of wires and plugs.
Just have to worry about a flat battery now as I have read things about it being an issue.
