Discover Nav & Nav Pro.... are they any good ?

I've got the factory sat nav in my current B7 estate and updating to a new B8, but here's the thing I've found the RNS 510 increasing frustrating,
1/ It hasn't got speed cameras
2/ When changing route, it take an age to re-route directing me back to the old route for miles
3/ you can't interact with it off the car
Result is I bought a TomTom £150 its got speed cameras and I can program it in the house or on a computer, I can also install any amount of points of interest, for instance I wanted every motorway service stop on every motorway, national trust ect, ect.
I guess the new Discover Nav & Nav Pro will be an improvement, I'm sceptical but hoping to be proved wrong.
Anyone out their got some feedback on the new units, surely VW should be looking at sites like this for useful improvements
