Nav unit question for AUX/IPOD

Hi quick question
Recently bought a car that as the nav unit it (cant find out model name) and has a 6 disc changer in the glove box but i want to put some sort of aux input like ipod or even usb...
But if i remember from previous cars does this have to replace the cd changer?
If yes what other options do i have?
