Converting steering wheel to Mfsw

Hi all.
I have a 2007 b6 Passat sport. And ever since I bought the car 6 years ago, I wanted a mfsw. I was wondering if I can covert my existing steering wheel as I've seen the buttons only on eBay for about £50 or do I need a whole new wheel.
