iPhone with Lightning

I have a B7 estate SE with a RCD310, in the glove box there is a multi media box………. It came with an Apple 30 pin dongle and a USB dongle, does anyone know what functionality I will get with my iPhone 6 (USB to lightning) or would I need to buy the multi media to lightning dongle? Or do people just use the bluetooth?
