I've taken the radio out and all looks plugged in OK. I'm hoping it's just a loose connection - where is the control unit likely to be positioned?
And any other ideas gratefully received

Car kit resetting
I've a B6 Passat with a VW blue tooth car kit fitted (000051473C one of these viewtopic.php?f=50&t=81734&p=668270#p668270 ). It's just started resetting (splash screen comes up then it has to reconnect to the phone) every minute or so. The car was in the garage on Friday for under the bonnet work which I wouldn't expect to have any affect. Wiggling the lead going into the 'display' unit doesn't do anything.
