Fitting Aux RCD300 Passat B6

Hello,

Firstly - I THINK i have the RCD300 head unit in my Passat B6. I have googled RCD300 and it looks just like the images that come up. The top left button is Mix as apposed to load so I'm almost sure its not the RCD500.


I have looked around and seen a few suggestions for fitting aux to the B6 Passat via the CD-Changer port at the back. I don't have a CD-Changer but much rather Aux input than a CD changer.

I have scoured eBay and have found a few and just wanted peoples experience on different options.

This one says its for the RCD300 but does not mention the Passat on the vehicle list and also does not have the box that all the others I've seen have so I have a feeling this won't work.

I like that one because it will also charge my iPhone 5 - That said I know cheap aftermarket charges for iPhones don't always work very long so not sure.


Finally and I feel the safest option:

Does anybody have experience with any of the above and/or something different? Any suggestions


I have also seen this http://www.amazon.co.uk/468/dp/B00DUUNXPG which enables a Bluetooth module - However i fear if I'm going to spend that much I may as well save up some more and get a new heading with it all built in.
