I recently got a B5.5 Passat estate with a Gamma CD player ... there seems to be a problem when I play CDs - it's fine for the first 20 seconds or so and then the sound starts to distort with a phased kind of clicking sound to the point where it becomes unlistenable.
I've tried lots of different CDs and the same thing happens, although after the first CD, the sound quality deteriorates pretty much straight away.
Has anyone else experienced this? What are my options? How much will a new CD player cost me and is it easy to install?
