Bought 2nd hand gamma radio/cassette player off EBAY (and the guy said it was in good working order and would refund my money if I couldn't get it going)
So I have a 98 Passat which had a gamma radio/cassette but didn't have the fade and balance buttons so I thought I'd upgrade to the next model which came out of a bora.
I thought it would be a straight easy swap and just plugged the existing connectors straight in the back but I can't get it to come on.
If I turn the lights on on the dashboard the radio lights up but if I turn the on/off knob (and believe me i've tried all different ways but I believe with this one you press it in and turn) but I don't get anything come up in the display not even asking me for a code.
Any one got any ideas. Surely the connections should be the same???
why won't my replacement gamma radio work?
