Kenwood head unit - Original CD Changer ?

Hi all, is it possible to run the standard 6 disk changer when I fit my Kenwood headunit ?
I've seen plenty of links on the web for fitting aftermarket changers to standard head units but cant find anything for the other way around
Cant find any adapters etc.
If not I can always hook up the ipod up to the changer lead instead - but Its something else to fiddle with which I dont want !
Its a Kenwood KDC-7024 and the cd changer is the Standard fitted in the sport model, Gamma Head unit.
