Are the fronts the same as the rears??

Evening people,ive got a standard ice set up,which doesn't sound to bad to be fair,better than most cars ive owned.
Are the front speakers the same as the rears,ie same size,same frequency etc. My front speakers sound a bit more punchier on the bass notes(which is good)and rears dont appear as loud. Ive tried adjusting the fader which worked a little better, but the rears seem to struggle more,especially when a girt phat bass line comes on and the VOLUME NEEDS TO BE CRANKED UP!!! Dont really want to go down the sub route as i had that when i was younger,but a bit more clarity when played quite loud would be good.
