Fitting a jvc double din into a b5.5

Hi
I have a 2004 passat b5.5 sport with the gama head unit and 6 cd changer in the dash , I'm looking at replacing them with a JVC KW-DB60 DAB double din unit .
Does anyone know if fitting a double din is a straight forward job and is there anything extra I need to buy , I have googled this and several websites say I will need a radio facia kit ,
I would appreciate any info
