couriers

Not too happy with couriers at the moment, I don't know what the general feeling is.
In recent weeks I've had two parcels lost. The first was sent via Hermes to a member in Harrogate,that never arrived so I thought I would try another reputable courier next time, UPS. The parcel, a pair of discs 20kgm was handed in at their depot and I spoke to the guy for about half an hour, two weeks later discs haven't arrived.
Down to the depot, the guy remembered the package because of the weight, they had it on cctv, but no record of it leaving their premises. Meeting with manager, waste of time, and the eventual result?" Put a claim in". They don't give a f**k when it goes wrong. I don't know who to try next time.
