Radio Fault

Hi, I had a 2015 Passat Estate EY65 that had an intermitant fault where the radio/satnav/phone would have no volume, i would turn the unit off and back on and the issue was resolved. Until the next time it happend.
VW have now replaced the car after 8 software updates but within an hour the fault occured with this car AE16 too. The therory now is there is a connection issue with the iPhone6 and the car.
Anyone else had this issue?
