Football thread

Post by tom1james » Sun Apr 10, 2016 10:52 pm

Couldn't see a thread (at least a regular/recent one) about football so thought I'd create one.

Use this for chat, news, banter, anything football related.

How many fans we got on here? Who do we all follow, whatever league big or small?

I'm a QPR fan myself. So I'll be doing a lot of ranting in here probably

The most over rated over paid sport in the world that sees it's own fans priced out from watching it at stadiums :ymapplause:

And with the ludicrous paypacket you would expect utter gentleman of the sport , the truth couldn't be more opposite .

Chesterfield fan so ludicrously overpaid footballers is not something I'm to concerned about although I am brain-dead enough to enjoy watching football at all levels from the Premier League to the park around the corner.

I play as much as possible as well but at 34 just small sided stuff although last Wednesday evening my left knee twisted in a way it wasn't supposed to. Huge amounts of pain and a limp later it's potential ACL damage. Wont be doing that for a while.

No mate. It's quite strange. There hasn't been much pain since actually doing the injury. It just doesn't feel right at all. Very unstable. Walking/driving etc are fine but I'm being very conscious to keep my leg straight. It's only on any slight twisting is there some pain. I'm hoping its not serious. Perhaps meniscus or something.

I injured my medial in my other knee last June! Took 6 months to recover and only started playing again in the new year. I didn't last long. I think it may be time to retire.

Think my name gives away who I support :(( :(( Think we will be joining QPR next season with our bunch of overpaid, overpriced pre-maddona's

Newcastle have players good enough to have stayed up this season although to many of their hearts are not in it. They need a huge clear out. The biggest mistake was setting on the wolly with the brolly as manager.

I'm keeping the rose tinted glasses on for a few more games, if we can get one or two more results we could just use the get out of jail card looking at Norwich and Sunderland run in's we still have a chance albeit very very slim x_x
